Ho ho ho!  It’s is really almost that time already?  What with Thanksgiving and Hanukkah being a big mush this year, Here Come The Mummies are keeping it simple with their tribute to the other big holiday that’s just around the corner.

The ridiculously groovy video for “Secret Santa” can be streamed at  http://bit.ly/Ipb70i.  The animation is from the supremely talented Bobby's Brane who also animated HCTM’s track “Freak Flag” at http://bit.ly/19X5xJl

Life has been very good to the un-dead this year.  HCTM released their outstanding new album Cryptic in May and they have been spreading their funky-licious vibes all around the country.  The band filmed Rejuvannihilation, a concert movie, at October at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium with the French Canadian brother team of Pierre and François Lamoureux of FogoLabs (Rush, The Who, Harry Connick, Jr., Cirque du Soleil, Alanis Morissette, Joe Satriani, Willie Nelson and more), slated for an early 2014 release. The next big stops are Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Café on the Strip on December 10, and what promises to be a spank-tacular  New Year’s Eve at the Pageant in St. Louis.

Praise for Cryptic includes Blurt Magazine, citing them as "…one bad-ass band, a hybrid of Idris Muhammad, George Clinton, Ohio Players, and Earth, Wind & Fire. 'You Know The Drill' is classic R&B, a horn-drenched piece of funk that would sound perfect between 'We Got The Funk' and 'Turn This Mutha Out.'"   The Knoxville News Sentinel noted that “Playfulness is serious business… Here Come The Mummies’ new Cryptic is an improbable hybrid of Earth, Wind & Fire, Santana, Hall & Oates and The Doors, resurrected for a retro funk-rock, sex-driven bender.”

HCTM asks via a translator, "Are our ears burning or is that just how we smell?"
